Imagine you have a switch in your chest. When you feel the stress rising, mentally turn the switch to "calm" setting. You really can train yourself to do this. Praise them up when they don't shout, and don't join in when they do! It will break the shouting cycle.

A sneaky fag, a stronge coffee and a bit of mumsnet usually sees me through the touch times.

I send my 2 to different areas of the house if they are winding each other up.

I also walk away from alot of Dd3's iritating but not life threatening behaviours.

I choose my battles very carefullyGrin

I used to go in the garden and smoke but now I have given up I eat chocolate at night when Dd3 is in bed.

You are definitely not a bad mum, if you were you wouldnt care.

Be kind to yourself and good luckSmile

Coffee and 3 or 4 hobnobs! Hopefully when the holidays end I'll start to lose weight! [fatty boom boom emoticon]

You know, sometimes I just give in and have a good rant. Specially when DS1's working his ticket. He hates being shouted at, so will often rein it in if he realises his mithering is making me that cross with him.
