We got an early appointment and dd is now being referred to the eating disorders clinic so thank god that is now in motion as she is losing a 1lb a day now.

Now on top of this her scan revealed what they think is a pineal cyst in the centre of her brain. Scan has been sent away and she now needs another contrast mri and possible lumbar puncture. To see just how big it is and of course if its benign or not as the case may be.

They said it wasnt the reason for her stroke like symptoms that occured the other week. However she is suffering double vision, dizzy and lightheaded and bad headaches to boot and the numbness in her arm and hands still so I am not so sure....

Heart wise no result reading as yet but I think that really is to do with the fact she is starving herself.

I am scared shitless for her right now. :(

So sorry this is happening to you coff - my dsister has had an eating disorder for many years, she's been that way since her mid teens and she is in her early 30s now. In a relationship has a lovely ds. I can't tell you what a big step her talking to you is, it takes some many years to do it, but also fantastic she recognises its a control issue is huge.
We all think of the worst case scenario with eating disorders but in most cases that isn't the reality - my sister is very controlling about what she eats and linked strongly to emotions - she is on the thin side but not skeletal. She only reached your daughters stage in talking a year ago. I hope this helps you I just wanted you to know this can be helped and managed and although it's so scary now you are more ahead than you know. Breathe, it's fantastic that your dd can talk to you and clearly wants to.
As to the MRI - I have every pinky and finger crossed for you and all positive thoughts prayers and wishes lovely

Bloody hell - no advice or anything of use to you at all, but a bucketload of sympathy. This must be unbelievably hard for you.
