Hi my Ds22mths was diagnosed with mild cp (left hemiplegia) at 12 Mths and has since been found to have moderate hearing loss, they think due to glue ear. He had grommets fitted last month and we are waiting for his next hearing test in August. He has very limited speech with just 4 words but some baby babble. We think he has some understanding but not much. His behaviour is bad he's aggressive - head banging, head butting, biting, scratching, and now spitting. Anytime we say no or change what he's doing he starts to lash out. He also had some absent moments for which he had an EEG which came back normal. With all of this going on his paediatriction suggested that he would benefit from going to our local CDC for a month to be assessed by salt, psychologist, physio(which he has already for cp), and OT. We have completed that and the reports are back on how he got on, and we are due to attend the joint assessment clinic appointment on Tuesday(with the paed, health visitor, his current nursery, and others involved in his care) I was wondering if any of you have had these and what we might expect to happen on the day. Thanks for your help.
