Hello everyone, just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I live in Herts and have a 9yo dd with dyslexia and a 7yo dd who has had ADHD type and language issues from 18months old. We have been on and off with Paeds and SALT for years, still trying to get my 7yo's issues formally recognized, the Paed seems to be favouring a formal ASD assessment currently, I will receive the latest written report tomorrow. Of course I am also constantly fighting, fighting, fighting all the time and plugging away to get the right educational support for dd1 who despite being 9 cannot read a book alone due to her difficulties. Anyway I have been enjoying reading all these threads. Seems at last I have found a brilliant resource and a supportive place! Just want to say 'hi' really! (waves)

Hi and welcome. Sure you will find lots of support here. I have just had a formal acknowledgement of my DS's dyslexic issues. He is 15 in yr10 and we have been flagging the problems since he was in reception. Hope you get there more quickly.
