Private EP for tribunal, asd/adhd/high IQ/other bits

Hi guys

It looks like the LA are not going to back down, so I think we'll need to have a chat to Natwest and book an assessment. I'd really, really appreciate some names and/or guidance of how to find the 'right' EP. The school think we are deluded and we just have an ADHD child with some family 'issues'. The paed, OT etc are all sensible, switched-on and helpful. DS has had various NHS and school things including ADOS, SLT and a wisc iv within the last year. He's 8.

I'm hoping the EP won't need to do everything again, which might save a few hours initial fees, although clearly the observations, appointments, reports and any witness appearance won't come cheap. I really, really, really don't want ds to be seen by someone who is taken in by his general brains, good manners and extreme cuteness (stealth boast Wink).

The (generally quite good) LEA EP was totally hoodwinked by the inaccuracies in school reports, his superficial verbal fluency and a brief observation of apparent relative coping when she saw him in class, and her reports clearly reflect that. She'll also have been subject to the usual subliminal influences, but I think it really is inadequate rather than deliberate. I'm anxious to avoid someone who might do the same, I don't want to automatically pay an arm and a leg for a big 'name' who tribunals and LEAs have experience of ignoring.

We're close to major transport links, so distance isn't necessarily a disaster. Suggestions on a post(card)? Please?
