Hi lovely parents.

So I am a mummy with one son who is 17 months old, however it is me and his father who is disabled and I have been in and out of Great Ormand Street and now UCLH since my sons age.

So I and husband would like to go on days out with our son because we have no intention of our son missing out on a fantastic childhood so can any parents here recommend a no stairs, accessible day out to take our son?

I also write a blog because I have been a child disabled all my life so I know how things feel from both child's perspective and adult motherhood perspective. My take on the blog is disability doesn't have to be all negative, negative experiences or about the negative experiences of DWP or the NHS etc. In fact disabled children and disabled parents can and are excellent, positive and determined people. So I want to write a blog about positive family days out for all. If anyone on here can tell me where they had a great time that would not only help my family personally but others via the blog.

Big thanks guys.

I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you mean but there's an adventure playground in Taplow, about 30 mins outside London (Reading side) that's for children with disabilities and also fully accessible for adults, so may make for a fun day out. I haven't been for about 10 years but it was great back then and I can see it's still open from the train past it.
