Have AR shortly and due to pending dx will need to increase the hours of support (currently 22). How many hours are required for full time support?

Well th number of school hours in the week plus a number of hours for prep.

Do you need lunch/break time support?

Yes, that's the main problem area's.

Ds used to have 32.5 hours which was the whole school day and then he had 1.5 hours SSSEN so the 1.5 hours would be used for meeting with me and preparing resources. HTH

Thanks, that's helpful. I know it's going to be difficult getting extra hours but when isn't it?

Down here a full support amounts to 25 hours. The remaining lunchtime/break cover is expected to be funded via school themselves.

Thanks Coff. The existing sm says that if any additional support over the hours stated is required then school must provide it. I think this is the reason why school have had him on a part-time timetable saying that he won't cope with a full day Hmm. Have told them that he will need to go full time next year as dh needs to get a job and has been unable to for over 6 months now out of school.

Ds's was secured a long time ago at 32.5 hours, my daughter's says that lunchtime cover must be provided by the school and I think that's standard now on statements issued in our LA.
The HT in ds's primary was adamant that when he moved from nursery to yR the school would only keep him if the ft support continued for the whole of the school day.
The LA knew that he wouldn't be easy to place elsewhere and agreed without a fight tbh.
Have you spoken to IPSEA? because what the school are doing are unofficially repeatedly excluding him if he isn't attending ft which is unlawful.
