Just a question..

I've been told by our neighbour, that we'd be entitled to free nappies for elijah. Is this true?
How do I get these, do I need to see the HV or GP?
he's 3.5 yrs old, autistic and wears nappies ALL the time... to find out he coud get them free is a revalation.

thanks in advance

We got them from age 4. I think it varies slightly depending on where you live but your HV can tell you.

It seems to vary depending on where you live. I think in our area the child has to be 4yrs old. Apparently it used to be 3yrs but so many NT children are still in nappies at 3 that the rules were changed.

Health visitor, or local incontinence advisor (we bypassed the HV, she passed our details straight on from my phone call). Then the incontinence people did a home visit - 2 weeks later 3 months worth of nappies arrived (now we need an extension to keep them in!).

They worked it out at 5 nappies for every 24 hours, my DS is 4 - some areas it's 3, good luck!

it depends on the different councils as to what age you qualify - ours it's 3 1/2 yrs old.

and it was the HV that did all the paper work for us for them
