DD1 (4) has autism and is more on the low functioning side.
DD2 is just 18 months and I started getting some niggles. she is totally different to DD1. DD2's speech is pretty good for her age (100+ words, linking words, excellent receptive language skills). her communication in general is just great; really good joint attention, brings me things to show me, starting to do pretend play, she waves, points and tells me what she wants etc.
but there are some things which make me
: she sensory pretty defensive, she screams her head off at the lightest bit of dirt or food on her hand (she only eats with spoon and fork, not hands
); she has massive trantrums when things are not right (e.g. if I give her the wrong spoon). just little things like that but it is becoming more and more apparent.
as I don't have really any experience of parenting a NT child I just wanted to ask if these kind of things are also normal in NT children?
