Or someone with good knowledge of SEN in secondary school? I can not think straight anymore, the appeal that has been going on for almost a year is draining the heck out of me, the LGO with their unjust and unreasonable decisions and they infact should be investigated themselves, Sencos from hell, so many people trying to bamboozle me, trying to make me out to be the bad one for fighting for my son's education trying to deny my son his right to voice his opinions on his education.

I need to pick your brains as I am trying to put a letter together to send to the head or govoners or both, but I have severe metal block (for anything that I need to put thought into) There is a long thread on it over in the seconday school forum but not sure how to link it in here :-(

Cheers

Don't know how to advise you, but can link your other thread. Smile

awww, cheers Ellen :)

From another thread on here asking about funding/support, it has directed me to asking about provision mapping, I would like to think all schools did this (or know what it is) I may need to start asking about that from DS school

Provision mapping is just an admin exercise that the SENCo should be doing to map what provision/intervention/support each SEN child is getting related to their needs. I'm sure it's more complicated than that, but I think it's just one of the latest buzzwords in SEN.

Don't ever question yourself or be made to feel bad for fighting for your child's education.

It's a tactic that schools / LAs employ. Almost all of us on here have been 'smeared' by these people.

Rise above it. Forget about provision mapping - it's just the latest cool crap. Focus on what you think your child needs. Ignore the rest.

I don't know your back story so couldn't help you compose a letter but if you can decsribe the specific issue, someone may be able to assist.

Best wishes

Hi,

Th reason I bought up the providing mapping as that should state what they have been doing with my son and how they are spending his budget which I am pretty sure this does not exist for my son. This could actually help my appeal as I am fighting the lea About statement and now the school regarding his gcse palava.. It never stops.

OK - tell us the back story and if I can help, I will.

I have worked with YPs with SEN in secondary schools and have a child with Asperger's Syndrome myself.
