Quality training for Asperger's in mainstream - any ideas?

I have suggested to school that I would look for alternatives to the bog-standard (and crap) ASD training from county.

Does anyone have any suggestions for where to go to access good quality ASD training?

Is it provided by the LEA?

Does outreach not provide useful training? They do in my LEA but you have to go through a series of courses in order as I found out when I wanted DS's TA to go to one and she had not been on the previous ones Hmm.

Also NAS are happy for schools to attend their training, if you can get them to go. I have been on a couple of courses - some better than others.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for.
There is this but they don't seem to have any future courses listed. I did attend one a while back that was good.
Bromley autistic society will offer bespoke training - but I have no idea what it would be like.

Treehouse do good ones at reasonable prices! But you may have to factor in travel etc.

Ambitous about autism are running some decent schools training this term.
Linda Miller - author of the 5P approach does decent training for schools and LA's (as far as I can tell 5P is kinda like ABA for dummies/ordinary teaching staff etc - even my TA got the hang of it Wink).
