Well title says it allr eally- DS1 was DX, DX was recalled (admin error, shouldn't have been given apparently, after 3 cancelled appointments DH fought for another and it is tomorrow.

I bet I will be on here tomorrow saying 'they say ds1 has no problems'. Again. Of course, his school struggles with him, he is still violenton days where there are changes (a bigger concern as he gets older, as SW said it would be). He still has to have a set routine, and now he is basically borderline agoraphobic: he ahtes to leave the house except for regular school. Even if it is for a treat.

He also has been doing the whole shrieking thing more lately. I bet the neighbours love that! Spitting and licking have made a spectacular reocurence too.

The disabilities Sw came to the house and clearly ahd no dounbts about DSa's Dx, and has been brilliant getting him on to a holiday scheme for the sake of ds2 (21 attacks today, 4 head injuries (minor obv) and one bad bite).

But I bet tomorrow it will be 'he's fine, no problems'.

It makes me so mad hearing families and children suffer to this extent and still having to have the emotional energy to battle for dx. I would explore as many strategies as you can without a dx. DD was dx AS at age 7 v.quickly fortunately but tbh we have done loads of stuff ourselves on top of outreach support she gets. I am currently working on Sensory integration stuff with her, have incorporated social stories myself, visuals, anger management, oppositional defiance stuff, biomedical intervention, and RDI. The support from dx has been such a small %It shouldn't be like that and I really feel for you battling at such a difficult time, but there is so much you can do with a lot of research and sharing of ideas etc.Good luck

Good luck for tomorrow.

I managed to get funding for BIBC, which has helped, whether because of the rutines or the fact that Dh and I feel that someone believes us I am not sure, but does that matter?

School was getting there, but SENCO on long term sick leave so all support has basically collapsed.

Would it be unethical to fill DS with orange squash, blue sweets (I have some we confiscated from a party bag somewhere) and sugar before we go? Grandad did that yesterday and it has, um, certainly demonstrated some more interesting traits today!!!!
