as a response to being asked not to write on the furniture and not to draw on his sister or his sister's paper.

ds is nearly 4, no diagnosis, going to be assessed at some point for asd (have referrral letter but no appointment)

also, he may recently have seen his dad throw things at me in a temper so this clouds the issue. (separated due to previous dv but taking childen on a trip as his dad has been better behaved recently til he threw stuff) tis all very complicated and mixed up.

I am not sure if it is normal 3 yyear old tantrrums or what..

At an NAS course I went on they explained the difference between a temper tantrum and a melt down, is that in a temper tantrum the kid still know what they're doing and can control it.

For example in a temper tantrum they might break somebody else's things, but they'd never break something they valued.

Whereas in a meltdown they really don't know what they're doing, can't control it, and may well ruin their most treasured possession......

Of course 3 year old's sometimes throw things. Impossible to tell from here what's going on :)

But wishing you lots of strength.

Even with a dx, you'll never know whether some of his behaviour was due to his ASD or due to him being 3.......
