Any ASD beatboxers?

DS is 7 and likes making noises to mimic different sounds from children's tv shows etc and he's rather good at it...i've been wondering whether he'd enjoy beatboxing as a way to use this talent in a more socially acceptable way (ie not repeating the sound of ketchup splatting/a squeaky door hinge ad infinitum etc) so i'm going to get him to look at some beardyman youtube vids and see what happens Grin

I wondered if anyone else has any experience of this?

We havn't tried it yet with dd2 but i know someone who has (will see if i can point them to this thread).

We bought dd2 a drum kit (probably a bad idea and the neighbours are probably not impressed) and she has taken to it really well, we also got her a electic drum (which is a lot quieter) but she likes the real drum kit best. I have a youtube video of dd2 when she had her first go on the drums, will see if i can find it.

Thanks moondog, Mr Phormula looks fab. Dd2 loves music and rhythm, she had music therapy from the age of 2 and sang before she spoke, she has always drummed on everything, if you look on my youtube account there is another video of her playing the ukulele whilst drumming on some random items. At the moment she's teaching herself the keyboard (which gets quite noisy). He school wont let her have drum lessons until she's 7 and i can find any one else to teach her (i'm not musical). We are taking her to see some live music next week (if weather is ok) as she loves listning to music.
