Hiya I have a 13 yr old daughter who has Aspergers and is very sensory and will only wear certain types of clothing/material. I have some great trouers from next that she loves but they are so thick and it's getting so hot. I have been looking online and can't seem to find any thinner type material trousers that are pull on for her to wear. She is generally a size 10 and in Next Aged 16. I would appreciate any help with this. I was hoping to find a sensory website but couldn't find anything. Thanks again

What material will she wear? It might be worth having a good look at some black pyjama bottoms

I was going to suggest the next ones, they are fab but they are thick.

Dd3 wears the pull on skirts from next aswell would your Dd cope with a skirt on hot days??

The fabric it not as soft as the trousers but it isnt too bad and its nice and stretchy.

Good luck, let us know if you find anything. I am always on the lookout for stretchy, soft uniform!!Smile

I recommend these if black or navy are OK. I have worn them through surgery and recovery when everything else was too irritating on my skin.

Hi Colditz thanks but I don't think they would let her wear them at school. She lives in her pj's at home though :)
I need bunting - I know they are great aren;t they. She will not wear skirts unfortunately, she really is so fussy/sensory. I will let you know if I do. Summer is a nightmare have had to go to primark and buy loads of soft shorts as if she had it her way she would live in leggings/tracksuit bottoms!!!
Thanks Thoughtben10 - will definitely consider them for the winter, she is wearing something similar for school but just need something a little cooler for this weather

Hi banrock i think the trousers ben found will be a lot thinner than the net ones. I have something similar from sainsburys and they are quite thin. Mine are wider at the bottom so wouldn't be any good for school but those M &S ones look good.

I know exactly what you are going through. Dd3 is 9 but for the last 4 years she hasn't been able to wear anything non stretchy or with buttons on.

Just recently she has started wearing shorts with a button on and adjustable waist but they have to be too big so that she can just pull them up and down. So for us that is major progress.

Hope you manage to find something for your DdSmile

They are t-shirt thickness Banrock if that makes any difference for you/her.

My son will not do his trousers up. he's 6 and refuses to wear underpants, socks, anything close fitting. He has aspergers too. it's a nightmare. if i buy him trousers that do not have a zip he will not wear them. he keeps his hand in his pocket all day even when running to keep his trousers up. I don't know about girls clothes but just empathise massively with your situ.

Matalan do some school trousers that are similar to joggin bottoms (but thiner and boot cut), i buy them for dd2, i think they go up to about 14 years.
