The question:

IS it clear to you based on this? I'm not really sure, and I'm wondering if it was a simple case of the boy thinking (incorrectly of course) that this is expected behaviour between a boy and girl - perhaps if he has recently been told about sex by parents, had a sex ed course in school, or even seen a movie with a sex scene in it.

Yes, the behaviour is inappropriate and needs to be addressed, but does this statement strike anyone else as being a bit alarmist?

Obviously with DS2 being 5yo, this puberty thing is not something we're dealing with yet, and god knows we worry about inappropriate behaviour due to lack of understanding, but I'm curious what others think.

Yeah, read the drivel and clicked away as I was getting cross.

The comment was posted by someone who claimed to have experience of teenage boys with SENs. Probably a fucking useless Caring Carrot.

If you read Tony Atwood you'll see that young people with ASD often have no sex drive. They'd rather do something that interests them. Grin

I wasn't sure as I have no experience of a teenager with ASD. Our DS2 is 5yo, so we have a long way to go before dealing with that kind of stuff. It just sounded a bit off to me, but wanted to ask.
