yup. It's always been their M.O. Go after the vulnerable. The poor and the vulnerable. They're not the tory voters anyway and they're the least likely to fight back in other ways.
They'd have people with disabilities back in institutions if they thought they could get away with it. tbh, I'm waiting for the announcement of their new policy to help the poor by placing them in dormitories within large buildings, and giving them work to do in return for the bed and food...
tbh, I really doubt labour would reverse much of what is being done. They may not do it, but I bet they won't undo it, when they are back in government.
Much needs changing, this is true. There is massive wastage and tax dodging! But for the love of god, what kind of society are we if we turn our beady eye to our most vulnerable and go after them instead?
My two children have disabilities, as do I. I am working very hard to make sure I can provide for my children's care, because I can see how things are headed. But what of those who don't have that option? It's frightening.
And then you get those who aren't affected by this and they tell you you are being ridiculous, or dramatic. But it's not happening to them. It's happening to US.
