May seem like a bizarely paranoid question and I hope that it is but my DS's pead is going to phone tomorrow re assessment for possible ASD - do I tell her that there may be 'biological predisposition' - ie me - or will this release a newfound desire to blame the parent?

I say it with a soft 'g'.

Does that mean I know nowt about it Confused

My measure of competence is how well they listen when I deliver my patented 30 second asd mini-lecture (free professional education, they should be grateful Grin) before proceeding to tell them about the actual illness I've brought DS in with.

Though should defer making a judgement, and instead hand out a few multiple choice questions as we leave....

SadBlush Wet, apologies, I hadn't meant to offend anyone with my flippant comment about pronouncing AS, just shows my lack of social skills up Blush.

Wet: I say aspergers with a soft 'g' and emphasis on 'As', as i'm from Canada and that is how it is pronounced there and in the U.S. and a few of my friends say it that way too.
