Anyone have a child who has attended this school or visited to assess for it suitability for their own child? Any opinions?
Just come across it & it sounds intruiging, not least because children can either follow the GCSE or the American High School Diploma. It's caught my eye because there is the rare expectation that statemented SEN kids will go onto further education/Uni.
I'm fed up with the low expectations professionals seem to have of some v.bright ASD/ADHD/dyslexic kids I know - it's seems pervasive to expect our kids to "settle" for the lowest demoninator in the land of caring carrot. If it's no good for my lad it might be worth noting for others.
There's a sister school in Ipswich where children can board. Suffolk is woefully thin on the ground for ASD provision so it might be worth a peek for those in that neck of the woods.
