Schools for year 3 Dyspraxic DS around St Albans

I Haven't posted for awhile. DS is 7, and we have just been through a multi-discinplinary assessment, the verdict, Fine Motor Dyspraxia, Sensory Processing disorder (sensory seeking) and cross laterality. We have started Sensory intergration therapy and the change is absolutely incredible. He is doing really well at school. Anyway, had a meeting with his school to go through results (the can't believe the change in him - asked if we had drugged him)...long and short of it, they are not interested in supporting him at all (e.g. with using a lap top, patience when it comes to team sports etc). So we have no choice but to move him (he will be devastated).

Egerton-rothesay has been suggested to us, but to be honest I have huge hesitation about a school where every child has a SEN - sorry I just do. I am going to look at it and will go in with an open mind....but I want to look at all our options - so what are they? Private and public? If we go the public route we have a lot of money to spend on therapy (I am looking at tinselly house for over summer), but I want to keep an open mind.
Most of all I want to find a school that will except him for how he is and help him make the most of his education.
Because he is sensory seeking, activity within the school day, I think has to be a must.

Have heard good things about Egerton Rothesay. Also suggest you look at The Lea in Harpenden.. It has smaller class sizes than a lot of other schools and might well be worth you having a look as it has a very supportive ethos. Higher than average nos of SEN children, but not by any means all of them.

Thank you so much.....I am not going to rule out E-R, but just want to have alternatives. Will look into The Lea...

If anyone else has suggestions I would love to hear them.

westbrook hay? its just down the road from e.r.
It is ment to be very good for dyslexia and dyspraxia. If I could, I would send my dc there.

Camp school. Inclusive school with sensible headteacher and true partnership working with parents.
