Oh it is hard. It goes against every bone of your body as a mother but you have to be very very negative, imagining a day from hell with everything setting him off plus all the little things you have to do to avoid these scenarios.
Make sure you use the phrase "Because of his autism,..." a lot.
Do you have copies of every report? Send them along with the form.

It's a hideous form isn't it? I had great help from a lady from Contact a Family.

If you contact your local branch someone will come out and help you fill in the form. They helped me with wording and I wouldn't have put in half the items without her advice. Shed been trained on how to complete the form and gave me advice on the supporting evidence to send with it. It took about 3 hours to complete with her help.

I second the recommendation for the cerebra website. I could not have done it without that guide. I started out thinking "im a reasonably intelligent person, I can do this". But oh my gosh was I wrong!! Smile.
Their guide takes you through each part and recommends ideas for what to put where. It's 64 pages long but worth ploughing through it. It's fresh in my mind cos I only posted mine yesterday!
Link is below. Good luck and don't give up (that's just what they want you to do Wink).

the cerebra guide is great.

if you think you need actually somebody to help you filling in the form, then you could try CAB. our council also has a welfare advisor to help you with the form, maybe worth checking if this kind of help is also available where you are?

I agree this form is awful. I have had to fill it in for ds2 and dd2 and it's so much more emotional than I ever expected. I had a lovely lady from the council come and help me, she brought the cerebra guide and I got the DLA award both times with no fuss at all. She really knew how to word things and as was said, you have to keep repeating yourself over and over. Good luck
