cloakroom as in where you hang coats or toilet?

silverfrog · 08/05/2012 19:11

depends on the orientation of your front door - the postie might get an eyeful Grin

ours is semi-open plan - we never close the door to it, and have to remind visitors that the light doesn't work, and to go upstairs if they require more privacy... (it's not open plan to the whole downstairs, just to the laundry - a room rarely visited in my house )

lol, DS has took the toilet door off in temper again!! was starting to think, just keep it off, not practical I know but thought it would lighten my load.

Speaking of loads...............a laundry room ............unused???

we all have far too many clothes Blush

even when I have to venture in, I bung stuff in the washer, then transfer to dryer, and then tip out onto the 'ironing' pile (none of which ever gets ironed... just rootled through for necessary items)

Go for it! The toilet door is rarely closed in this house. Anything goes really.

Do you know I was pondering a similar thing earlier for my father in law and wheelchair user!

He has a new power chair and it is wider than the old one, it would life easier if there was no door there at all! :)

coff33pot · 08/05/2012 19:34

Why not put a curtain rod up on the inside and have curtains just fastened over the pole with velcro then have tie backs. Then if you have anyone round you can always use those but leave open for DS. But if he rips them down they wont rip and can just be restuck Grin

devientenigma · 08/05/2012 19:37

thats a good idea Coffee................would have to be heavy duty so we can't hear bodily functions.

ds1 when he was little used to push the toilet door wide open so he could lean forward and watch the tv in the kitchen, he open that door as wide as it would go as well Grin velcro sounds a good idea.

coff33pot · 08/05/2012 19:49

lol @ bodily functions! Wellllllllll if someone used the loo you could always break into a song lol Grin

devientenigma · 08/05/2012 20:01

if your happy and you know it...................stamp your feet!!

Our downstairs loo is virtually open plan already too, ds won't shut the door when he uses it, dd has thinks she has run of the house, and I'm not allowed to shut it when either of them are there unless they come in with me Hmm

Though dp is made to go upstairs and even then I have to put the radio on to drown out noises

devientenigma · 08/05/2012 20:41

have you seen the advert for the steam cleaner that steams away different messes including male ones, gives me a chuckle every time lol

OP posts:
bialystockandbloom · 08/05/2012 21:08

Does it remove the male himself? Now that would be a winner Wink

moosemama · 08/05/2012 22:27

I think you need to replace the door with saloon style swinging doors, comedy stylee. Just a head showing up top and feet and grundies down below. Grin

moosemama · 08/05/2012 22:28

I would pay big bucks for a steamer that removes males at the moment - dh is not in the good books. Hmm
