When i picked him up from school, i asked

"how was your day"

He replied "fabulous"

I asked "what happened to make it fabulous"

He said "nothing, fabulous has a nice ring to it" Grin

The next words out of his mouth were "mum all of our cats are cats" but never mind i was impressed at his moment of improvement Smile

Anyone else have a moment of improvement to share?

Well done mini claw, talon maybe? And ineed's DD.

My 14 yo NT DS will be helping me mow the jungle this weekend, if it doesn't rain again. It's nearly up to the windows...

DS2 may put his own pants in the wash. Grin

Aaahhh well, claw. My 16 yr old is completely incapable of making teaGrin

Dd3 is very keen to be big like her sisters. It is lovely but she has no sense of danger so we do have to supervise her closely.

Ellen, I am Envy of your ds2. We are still working on getting ds1 to take the last pair off before putting a new pair on! Grin Can you send your 14 year old round to tackle our jungle garden when he's finished yours please?

Our best moment of this week was ds1 not completely losing it when ds2, dh and I picked up chips on the way home from ds2's strings concert. None of us had had time for tea and we couldn't get to the gf chip shop before they shut, so we couldn't bring some home for ds1. I text my Mum, who was babysitting dd and ds1 to forewarn her, she prepared him and he didn't complain once, just sat there reading his Star Wars Visual Dictionary while we ate them with a sad look on his face.

This is huge, as he has a big thing about fairness and things being kept completely equal between the dcs and his normal reaction would have been of volcanic proportions.

I have promised him chips over the weekend to make up for it. Smile

Well done to clawlette, ineedalette, ellenlette and mooselette.

DS has now completely conquered his fear of bouncy castles. We've been working on it with him for 3 years and finally got there last weekend. It was so good to see him in a place filled with different bouncy castles, going on each one and loving it Grin.

DD got Star of the Week for the 3rd time this year. They normally only get them twice in a year, so this is big. She doesn't know what she got it for - she wasn't listening - lol.

ds said 'thingie' appropriately, Grin He opened the suitcase grandma had bought him, found a little attachment inside and said " Mummy, I got a..... thingie!!" He has since used "thingie" for other, completely different, things.
He got the concept, Grin Grin

I don't know anywhere else I could be ecstatic about your 5 year old saying thingy in context. Thi site is so fab!

Well done all all the achievements and being spoilt with cuppas!

Keeping DS pants on to get dirty is my ongoiing goal LOL

His moment was out playing. I have been letting him out round our corner once a week (tried day two and always fell apart)

He got told off last week as a child broke a light on a lads bike that was layed down and the child told DS to do the other and he did Blush Explained ppl dont always tell you good things to do and DS must try to step back and think and come get me if he doesnt understand. Explained this was someones property etc and needed to be replaced. Bless him he gave me his grandads pocket money to give to the lad :)

ANYHOW this week ds was out for the usual hour and there was a knock at the door same lad with damaged bike had come to say DS had chased his brother up the road (that was it lol) asked why and he said him and his bro found an old light and was trying to break it DS shouted and said thats from a bike and was angry at them breaking it.

Ho hum still had to bring him in for the growling and chasing but impressed that he was in his own way telling them it was a wrong thing to do after our chat :)
