8yr old DS with ASD, ADHD and i just know he has ODD but paed says she can't dx that.
I am really worried that he is going to get expelled from school as he has been attacking other children in his class again. He has had 2 internal exclusions in this week alone.
I have ordered the vegpa omega oils. Started him on the floradix(S) liquids. Have ordered some Epsom salts.

BioKult is a very good probiotic, it has really helped my DD.

And you going gluten free?

You could also try the stairs exercise, specified in The Brain Food Plan

But the first thing is the Omega, Zinc & Magnesium.

Indigo how do you take the biokult are the capsules liquid inside?

IndigoBell · 04/05/2012 12:20

It's powder inside.

Is really easy to open and pour on something if your child won't swallow a capsule.

how does a probiotic help? I've been giving ds1 EPA and vits with iron which I think has helped.

We also use Biokult, just pour the powder from two capsules into his nighly milk. I don't know if it helps or not tbh, but his tummy is generally in good order!

A probiotic helps if they have any gut problems.

Most kids with ASD do.

If you're going gluten free you should def use a probiotic.

Read the GAPS diet for more info.

Probiotics help generate friendly bacteria to fight off the bad bacteria and also to aid digestions. Clinical studies have established that probiotic therapy can help treat several gastrointestinal ills, delay the development of allergies in children, and treat and prevent vaginal and urinary infections.

Some reading can also be found here. We use same brand that Indigo has recommended as its recommended in the GAPS book
