Am I comparing him too much?

I have 3 DC, 2 DD's aged 7 and 5 and a DS aged 10 months. I'm worrying that I'm comparing him to his sisters too much, so some unbiased opinions would be well received!

My DD's always focussed on me or hubby when they were feeding, but my little man has never done that, he always looks somewhere else and at other times, seems to make minimal eye contact and then looks away. He does smile if he sees us, but won't actually copy anything that we do and he has not laughed at all yet. He has had no interest in toys of any description and when younger and under the baby gym would just lie with his head turned away and won't entertain games like peek a boo.

His development is roughly what his oldest sister was, he is crawling and has just started furniture cruising, however he just takes himself off and sits by himself and doesn't really interact with anyone and just scratches the floor with his fingers.

Whereas the other 2 liked sitting with me or Daddy and having cuddles, DS hates it and will usually go rigid and fling himself backwards to get away, he also has no problem going to anyone at all, whereas the girls used to cry if taken off me or dad.

Am I just trying to compare him too much and should just let him be to get along with stuff in his own time or do I have a delay that I should keep an eye on?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Kaiserpups, it's impossible to know across the internet, but if you are concerned, as his mum and not a first time one, at that, I'd be wanting to keep an eye on it. Boys are obviously different to girls, but you'd want him to be choosing to interact with you a bit more. There's a long thread on here recently about a mum concerned for her 4th child. She has more specific concerns, but if I link it you may find some helpful advice.
