I've blogged about it here

If anyone feels able to sign the petition please pass on. It's a real loss. A decent AAC system is proving to be life changing for ds1

Saintly. It's been put on my Facebook.

Thanks Sallybear

It's such a shame because the ACE centre is independent, so people can have an assessment considering all sorts of devices and low tech systems.

The bugger of it is Saintly, we had never heard of it in all the years I have been going to Oxford with my DD for SLT. I am sure that my DS4's communication needs could have quite possibly been addressed with this service! We only live in Milton Keynes!! Sad

Oh that's crazy! :( Such a shame.

I am going to email the Oxford Spires Cleft Service about it. I know that they are stretched themselves funding wise, but every bit of publicity helps, doesn't it?!

Absolutely, I have just contacted Sally Bercow on Twitter which I wouldn't usually do Grin

And the short one her husband. He is very big around here (forgive the pun) re education and ASD.

Yeah he used to run the autism steering committee, although I don't think he's on twitter....
