I watched the first movie to be streamed. It's The Autism Puzzle, a BBC documentary. You can sign up here. They send you an email with the password so you can watch this and other films related to autism.

I have just finished watching. What an amazing set of parents

Thanks for the link. I missed the 24 hour period for the Autism Puzzle though, does that mean I won't be able to watch it? It's not very clear or else I'm being a bit dense today!

CuriousMama · 05/04/2012 13:24

I'm not sure suburbandream? You'll see the next one though.

I missed the window too, but I googled it and it's on YouTube. As soon as I saw the stills I remember watching it when it was first broadcast, in 2003! Blimey. I must have had some insight about what was coming ahead!! Grin

CuriousMama · 05/04/2012 16:11

Thanks SallyBear. I looked for it on the BBC.

I just watched that on Youtube and am inspired as a mother on the start of this path having just got the dx yesterday.

CuriousMama · 05/04/2012 19:41

Ben10NeverAgain ds2 is going through the process too. At age 11 the professionals are seeing what I've always known.

Isn't it frustrating? I knew. Mums usually do. Even after diagnosis aged 4 I saw him as more autistic than the " mild" label they gave.

He's 11 now.

I was right.

CuriousMama · 08/04/2012 16:52

Yes it is frustrating. I'll be honest I never pushed it, denial probably? Hoping I was wrong.

He's wonderful though even if he does swear like a trouper sometimes and have his strange habits and phobias.
