Feel guilty - in hospital and quite enjoying it [blush]

I've been in hospital since Monday morning and should be going home today. Disclaimer: This is a private hospital!

DS is not nearly as hard work as some of your children but we are just waiting for the results of his ASD panel - so obviously he is slightly hard work Grin. I have my own room with no-one demanding my time, my attention, climbing on me, watching programmes on repeat, it is generally quiet, I get fed and watered every two hours, I don't have to do anything.

I'll have to rest when I get back for 6-8 wks but the noise etc will be there.

Feeling a bit guilty from feeling like I have had a bit of an escape. I've only been apart from DS for a max of 2 nights (he is 7 in june) when I was in hospital the last two times and I was too ill to notice then. Anyone else had this? This is definitely not something I'd put on AIBU Grin

Enjoy it while it last and certainly don't spoil it by feeling guilty! You won't get many opportunities like this. :)

Hope you're feeling okay.

YANBU! Grin

We have to take our breaks as and when the opportunity arises - its just a shame you have to be in need of hospitalisation before you get one!

Don't feel guilty. Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your ds. You've been through such a lot and deserve some space and peace while you are fighting your way back to health.

Hope you're better soon. Smile

Thanks. My first ever AIBU even if it's not on AIBU Grin

It is very strange. I didn't realise how stressful life is at home even though I've been off sick forever and he is generally quite reasonable at the moment.

This time it's only gynae surgery but I've had some sickness/dizziness episodes so my lovely consultant said it was best to stay.

I went ot hospital for a few days last year (unexpectedly) in a ward NHS!!!!!! and I couldn't get over how refreshing it was to have someone 'wait' on me and no-one demanding anything of me. I've only admitted this to one or two people. Made me think and change things, more me time now and I don't feel guilty!

I just admitted it to my husband and he said that he's not surprised that I find it relaxing. He is pleased I'm getting a rest and DS has actually been really good for him if we ignore him kicking and breaking the xbox360 Grin

It would be more relaxing if you stopped constantly spinning. Who is it with the ASD anyway? Grin

Ben10NeverAgain · 29/03/2012 21:58

Yeah but it wouldn't keep the nurses so busy though!

............I do love a roundabout...........hardly any RL friends.........
