My DS, 6, has just had a colorimetry test but it didn't detect anything. Before the test, when we filled in the pre-test questionnaire at home, he said that the words jumped up and down on the page. After the test, at home, he said the coloured overlays didn't help because they made the words tip backwards so that he couldn't see the tops of the letters. Does anyone have any ideas of routes to pursue here, because it seems there is some form of visual stress/intereference even though the colorimetry was not able to help?
The SENCO says the school is going to bring in a specialist teacher to test for visual dyslexia: will this address the visual interference he is experiencing or not? (The test is really to address his problems reading and recording.)
He already has an IEP for proprioceptive difficulties.
Thanks in advance ? I have tried researching these things on the web but I just feel very confused!
