Hi,
I hope that nobody minds me posting here and if you do I am happy to pull my thread.
As some of you may know, i am training to be a SLT at uni atm. For a piece of coursework I have to make a leaflet about cerebral palsy. This is a piece of academic work only and will not be published. It is aimed at teachers and school staff at an imaginary school which has several children with cerebral palsy attending.
I would like to include a quote or two from 'real experts.' These can be advice that you think would be important for school staff. They need to be relatively short and will be presented anonomously. Something like these (in terms of layout not message) which are in leaflets published by scope:
"Soap box time, but if small people know that children like Aimee can attend nursery and school with them maybe their reactions will continue to be warm and we will have less restricting attitudes in our adults!" Parent of a three-year-old
"It is a good idea to focus on low-tech aids that all children can use that don't highlight differences - things like Velcro and rubber suction mats." Parent
I will be presenting my leaflet to my colleagues on the course and hopefully we could all learn something. Thanks.
