my fears for ds have started, how do i help

Ds1 (6, y1, HFA, hypermobile, glue ear) is a happy, passive chappy, fab laugh, quirky, bit flappy and lots of postering, needs to hug/lick.

But this is changing and I found out why, until a while ago had a few friends that he loved and seem to get on well with (even had a few playdates), his says he doesn't have his friends anymore and even worse they seems to turning nasty. Also other boys seem to be targeting him.

However, school are happy, he does not cause a problem, academically fine, likes his teacher (which is great). Had his annual review with autism outreach there, i voiced concern, but was dismissed - the anxious parent card as he was happy.

But ds use to run out of school cheerful and now looks sullen, i think will start making himself ill (whether he actually reaslises or not). I struggled in a similar way throughout school and never solved it, it is heartbreaking to see. He has a younger brother and seems to now constantly telling him off for breaking rules, i wonder if ds1 is losing his ability to play as he use to and being replaced by trying to control his world. I guess the differences are now apparent.

Do i suggest the school tell the class (have people done this) or bring in autism outreach again. His having social classes, but ds claims they just play games (his always been able to take turns) and colouring in. I am no good in social situations and not manage to befriend any mums, my communication is poor, so really struggling as how to address this. Your thoughts would be thankfully received.

Out of school he has swimming classes and does little dragons (martial arts), his enjoying both, but require little social interaction.

That's bullying, or to give it it's proper names abuse and harrassment.

You need to stamp that out before going to school becomes intolerable for him.

No wonder he's sad. Anyone would be.

Definitely speak to SENCO and class teacher and demand action.

Also, ask yourself - is he getting what he needs from this school?
