Can anybody recommend a good omega 3 supplement please?

Hi, I'm looking for an omega 3 supplement that I can give my dd2.5. I need a liquid or something that will be easy to add to some juice or something as she won't take it straight from a spoon (spits it out) or anything in capsule form. Also, not sure if its my imagination but the one I've been giving her for the past week seems to be making her/her clothes smell of fish oils-is this possible?? Its got around 650mg EPA (orange+lemon flav liquid) so maybe this is too strong? I'm not sure+bit confused so would be grateful for any help with this

I give DS the EyeQ ones? the strawberry chewable capsules taste disgusting though! but DS swallowed his instead and did no harm :)

nordic naturals arctic-D works well for us, but ds1 swallows anything on a spoon for some reason :) I've tried it a few times and it didn't taste fishy. It comes in a few flavours.

We use a vegetarian omega made from algae instead of fish. Its called Opti-3. Basically its made from the food source fish feed on that contains the Omega 3. One of the advantages is that it doesn't smell or taste fishy. It does come in massive capsules, but I just snip the end with nail scissors and squirt it into their breakfasts. My dd has been happily taking it since she was about the same age as yours - she's just turned 3 now. Smile

Another one to avoid the general fishyness is Vegepa. Some recent studies have suggested this may be more effective for children with AS/ADD/ADHD as it is purely EPA with no DHA. There's links to some information about this on the site.

All 3 of my dcs and myself take Opti-3 and none of them has ever complained about the taste, despite ds1 being highly over-sensistive to tastes and smells, but I'm thinking about giving Vegepa a go for a couple of months. I'm just wibbling because I genuinely feel the Opti-3 has helped ds1 (aged 9, with AS) so much, that I'm cautious about changing over and messing things up.
