Anyone ever got a "sensory room" funded by DHSS?

Acquaintance of mine with child on the spectrum has applied for a "sensory room" for her 7 year old. social worker seems to think it might be a go.

Anyone else ever get funding for this?? Please tell me how!!!

Tbh I think it's very unlikely.

I know you can apply for a 25% discount off of your council tax if you have a room you use for therapies though.

mieow had a 4th bedroom/physio room built, with bathroom. but her kids cant walk v well at all.

i;d love a sensory room for dd2. i have the odd sensopry stuff here (egg chaiurs, funky lighting, mirrors, etc) but not one diedciated room for them.

Hi, we got a grant from the blind childrens society for a light room, but there are some charities that will help as well.
