Will be thinking of you. It sounds unlikely that they WILL keep your DS in, but if they do, perhaps he might be quite sleepy from having had the aneasthetic? / painkillers? When we stayed in we were right up against the cot...which did have completely let-downable sides, so with a bit of arm-ache from you, you should be able to let him get to sleep while you cuddle him. But let's hope you will be tucked up at home as usual!
Hope it goes well.

I'm dreading tomorrow. Keep walking around in tears about it (long story involving irrational fears).

fio2 · 20/11/2003 19:00

oh lou dont worry Im sure everything will be fineSmile I will be thinking of you. Everyone worries though - you should have seen my blood pressure go up when I was in theatre getting ready to have ds, the midwives were in stitches.

How have I missed ALL of this? Sorry Lou - I do care honest - just not been on for a week and seemed to have missed something huge in the house of white-haired angels. Glad the eye op went well and good luck for today. Lots of love - TC xxxxx

Thanks again everyone. I'm ok but still groggy. It was as we thought, so no surprises there, just extra medication to take on top of my ususal stuff. Aren't mumsnetters lovely?!

janh · 21/11/2003 20:45

Hello, lou, nice to see you back OK, I hope "as we thought" and "extra medication" is good news???
Hugs anyway. I hate hospitals. xxx
