Hi I have 2 ds. Ds1 autistic Ds2 epilepsy and left sid hemi syndrome...hmm..don't know how 2 put this but now that both my ds have started 2 talk more and be more independent I'm just wondering is this how it is 2 be "normal" if it is then I have 2 say its bliss!...let me explain ds1 have just started 2 say words but understanding every thing I say 2 him and can ask for thing ect ds2 have started 2 walk talk ect before this life was not gra8t but now its just getting better...is this how it would have been if my ds did not have special needs?!!!!

Grin I doubt it, but it must be nice to be able to get 'closer' to normality.

I think though that as you go through your journey, your reality becomes normality and then okay PROVIDED you have some level of support in your life, things to look forward to and a child that makes some progress however small.

I have 2 NT and 1 SN. The NT ones can cause grief and the SN one can cause grief just on a slightly bigger scale. Communication battling with NT teenager and about to become teenager sometimes surpases DS issues because mother is never right and of course you havent had life or experience prior to having them and getting through to either of the 3 is a task and a half sometimes lol Grin so yep I can say this is as "normal" as it getsGrin
