To be fair, this person DID post it in AIBU!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr Blood boiling Angry I could bloody well tell them a thing or too but I won't as I am too busy reading all the information packs that my DD's teacher has sent out re parent partnership!!!!!

Why do people start deliberately provocative threads like this I can't think of anything worse than getting a load of angry mum's going apeshit at you!!!!!

Was hoping you would give her a piece of your mind Starlight Grin

No, not getting involved in that thread.
Although I can tell you exactly where every one of my 32 children are at the drop of a hat, and their specific weaknesses and their strengths and quirks.
But why go in there and end up in a squabble with people I like on both sides?
Some teachers are shit and some are fantastic and most are trying their best.
Just like parents really.
Hully got it right.

That's fair enough dust, and I agree with you. I'm not a teacher but my whole blimmin family is. We have learned a lot from each other throughout my journey and for the most part they have been genuinely appalled at the way I have been treated by a sytem and people that they believed in and are a part of, and in honesty, have admitted to perpetuate.

But that OP was asking for it, and I thought that we don't get much of an opportinity in the real world to vent our frustrations at such a sacrifical lamb!

Well I had to go out but am having a good bedtime read :)

At my dad's funeral, one of his ex pupils that had excelled in maths stood up and told everyone how he had learnt fractions because my dad had hit him round the head and on his bottom chanting 'what you must do to the top, you must do to the bottom' Hmm

Starlight, that's very funny! Just to say about that other thread: Shock

StarlightMcKenzie · 11/01/2012 00:03

Sorry, I didn't mean to get involved. I have a particular bugbear about the Irish educational system because of SEN provision. I have done some consultations at home there and have encountered such sheer and bloody-mided ignorance about autism that it makes my head reel to think about it. I don't believe my enquiring mind came from my Irish education. I'm fairly sure I got it in spite of it. Teachers are Gods in some areas, never to be challenged. Sort of like some people you may have encountered...

LOL at your last post zzzzzz. I just didn't have a clue what to write after that. It kind of said it all perfectly, although it does amaze me how teachers can be expected to have a handle on 30 children at once. I think my main bugbear with it all is that so many teachers pretend that they do, when often it HAS to be impossible.

It has taken me this long to read everything without even posting Shock

I usually go "rubbish" and forget AIBU..............but the tapping business has bugged me no end. How about they/she failed the child firstly. Apart from the fact that if there were piles of reports in his file and yet the poor lad was still on his own so his needs were obviously ignored by this "lovely" school.............and the OP dosent like to be told "her job" but can feel experienced enough to say the lad should be in a special school Angry

Star your responses were great. You put everything so much more eloquently than me as I would have called her a muppet WAY back.

coff33pot · 11/01/2012 01:45

Thats it Ive opened my mouth. Now off to bed as it took ages to go through that lot. I probably shouldnt have as I have a cold (ugh)

I can understand there are good and bad everywhere whatever the proffession and wherever you go. but that is about as reasonable as I feel

nite nite x
