He's only four and it's from a girl a few years older. He's been at a special school since September and I'm bloody delighted.

He didn't get any in pre-school Sad

I really want to get her something lovely. May have to ring the parents again!

Winter so pleased for your DS. Hope he has a lovely time, and sure that your present will be perfect.

Thank you Smile

I'm really looking forward to meeting her Mum too - sounded lovely on the phone. It's a bit isolating when your child is collected and dropped up by bus.

Update!

Status: Partial success.

Never again will we use a future treat to motivate DS to go to bed and stay there until the morning. He just cannot take consequences on board.

We said: "DS must stay asleep until it is light because tomorrow is the party"

DS heard: "Tomorrow is the party so whenever I wake up I will be taken to the party.

4:30 a.m and he is bouncing around Hmm

However - the birthday girl had a fabulous time and looked gorgeous, and DS coped with a village hall with loud party music and an entertainer with a mic. He tried to join in the dancing and he actually lined up and waited Shock for some games despite being the smallest boy there. He was tempted, but left alone the beautiful cupcake display.

Sadly we had to leave early because of DS' early start to the day but all in all a really positive experience and the host family were also really understanding and non-judgemental about that and said that they do it too - getting their DC away while they are still happy Smile
