Grace (age 4) has just said she doesn't like Ellie having special needs

Then went on to say.......(her words exactly)

"why don't we just take her to the Doctor and he could simply make her brain better"

Oh if only it were that simple

Its sweet but it is also good for her to feel she can talk about Grace's special needs and she can say how SHE feels about them.

Its all she goes on about!! lol

One of her friends went home the other week from school, she has an eight month old baby sister called Holly, and she said to her Mum "arrh, Holly has special needs doesn't she"!!

Goodness knows what Grace tells them all at School, that the other kids think their sisters have SN!!!!!

Grace is just trying to get her head round it all. It is very good that she can talk about it though.
I talk very openly with my ds about my dd and am infact attending a workshop aimed at helping your other child/children deal with having a sibling with sn.
I have a problem with my dd who has sn asking everyone if they have special needs. She also regularly announces to the children in the language base that they all have "statements of special educational needs "

Oh No BH!!!!! lol

I used to worry when I used to take Ellie to School and Grace came with us. I used to stand in the hall waitng to go through to class thinking "please please don't ask or tell the others that they have special needs"!!!!!
