Anyone been to a beach within 4 hours of the UK with absolutely NO seaweed?

tentatively thinking about holidays. $ of us - 2 of whom are teenagers, one with aspergers. It is making me weep.

possibly UK - maybe Cornwall

Possibly somewhere else but nice and cheap and not too long in a plane

Beaches necessary for DH and DD1 (if no seaweed)

A pool (for DD2) would be fabulous.

BUT DD2 has a bit of a problem with many things including Seaweed. Her hatred of seaweed has spoiled many a visit to the seaside.

Any ideas?

Most pebbly beaches I have been to don't tend to have seaweed.
Brighton and along that bit of coast is nice.
Devon and Cornwall tend to be sandy and have seaweed. Sorry not to be of much help.

Hmm thinking I live in devon saunton sands is a huge long beach with many parts seaweed free. Constantine bay no seaweed.
Abroad- 6 hours to cape Verde stunning place far better than the carribean I think and no seaweed.

Sorry forgot to add seaweed in UK will depend on winds and tides so maybe better hedging your bets on going abroad if its likely to spoil a holiday.

I don't remember any seaweed at Alnmouth, just lots of sand

We live near Slapton which is pebbly and I don't remember seeing much seaweed at all, certainly large parts of it don't have any. I will scout around tomorrow when I take the dogs out.

Isles of Scilly. Plenty of utterly deserted beaches, many with no seaweed at all and very shallow waters.

But - very expensive for accommodation and onlu 1 public pool and one hotel with an indoor pool.

Bournemouth is 7 miles of golden sand, and the beach is cleaned every morning. No seaweed.

Recommend the Royal Bath, right in the centre, on the cliff top and indoor pool and outdoor pool.

Some amazing sandy beaches in Ireland. Donegal and Co Cork. We went to Oysterhaven and I can't recall any seaweed.
