DS (aged four, has ASD) isn't very keen on animatronics. He is very wary of the moving elves by Santa's house in the mall.
We were all cuddled up on the sofa watching Tim Burton's, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" which he has seen in part before. He was asking about a jungle and we were assuring him that it would be coming soon. He was also absolutely REFUSING to go to bed despite having been up since 4 a.m
And then the factory gates opened and not only was there a horrifying display of animatronic dolls and a creepy song but there were fireworks which made them all catch flame and melt thus looking even more sinister. DD said that he was shaking behind her and then a little voice piped up, "I wan' d' go 'd' bed!"
DD was weepy-eyed and hysterical and I was snorting while DH ushered DS upstairs away from the evil melting robots. DH has just told me that he kept turning around suspiciously in order to check that Tim Burton's creations were not following him and it has set me off laughing again!
Wouldn't mind Johnny Depp following me up to bed
