Help!
I'm at a total loss as to what to get ds2 for Xmas. He hasnt asked for anything, doesnt know what he wants, has no desires.
He doesnt really play, he watches tv, loves his trampoline, loves to be wrapped up & roll around the floor.

He is 9, has mild CP, autism, sensory integration disorder and learning difficulties.
He has just started to become aware of his differences and gets very upset if anyone thinks he is a "baby".

So i guess i'm looking for things that he'll enjoy,i'm happy if they are theraputic too but must be age appropriate & at least not look babyish.
As well as stuff for us my Mum, aunt & friends have all asked what he would like.

Any ideas welcomed, thanks.

peanut ball
pilates ball
scooter?

we have gymn balls & peanut balls & rolls from physio & ot. A scooter is a possibility he had a cheap plastic one a few yrs ago but could balance or coordinate enough to get it moving but i think maybe he could master it now.

DVDs? snazzy new fleece for his bed (that he can roll up in)?

Does he have any particular interests like TV characters or things he likes to play with?

For example, DS2 likes letters and numbers, so I'm looking at some beads with alphabet letters on them and some string for him to make strings of letters and beads. He loves playing with things like that, and he has coordination problems, so it will be good for him to play with them as well.

i have got him a big new fleecy throw, plain only as he has visual processing problems and doesnt like patterns.
Doesnt like numbers or letters & has no real interest in any TV characters, he really just stares at whatever is on the TV.

mmm its like trying to buy for a pensioner without a hobby!

disco ball? wobble ball? pogo stick?

It is difficult. DS2 has some very clear interests (read: obsessions). I try to cater to them without encouraging them IYSWIM. Very fine line to tread sometimes, I think.

But I'm not sure what to offer as ideas.
