Why do I keep thinking of Rolf Harris every time I see this thread title? I'm seriously showing my age.

Have seen the one in the ELC catalogue and thought it might be a good buy for Amelia at some stage. But the age range is from 5+.

Her hyperflexed knees aren't anywhere near as bad as they use to be a year ago but her balance and co-ordination is still bad. Is constantly coming home from nursery with little muddy knees and holes in her tights!

Will watch to see if anyone actually has one.

Wonder if this is any good ?

We have the Ikea one but we didnt buy it with special needs in mind (in fact bought it for my son before my daughter was even born). It is a popular toy in this house (though it is HUGE!) and I can see how it could be used to encourage balance. Both Tanzie's physio and portage worker have had a look at it and like the look of it

Ooh that's interesting! Will consider one for DS. Need an good excuse to go to Ikea!

They call the child 'it' on the advert!! How rude.

we got the ikea one on sale last year! I have it next to bunkbeds so SN DS & NT DD can hold onto something while wobbling. They will ignore it for weeks then play for an hour on it. Also got in Ikea this year a plastic bobbly seat mat - are Ikea starting to do lots of SN stuff or maybe just coincidence??
