All my previous posts have been on DS1. Now to DS2 for today! I have no social and comms worries for DS2 (thankfully). He is a happy, content little thing who is happy to play and plays really well with imagination (PHEW!). So I was a bit shocked when I got a call from Nursery to say could I go in to discuss him (first thought. Uh oh what's he done - lol) Turns out when he eats they noticed his hands trembling when putting spoon to his mouth, and sometimes his head trembles. I then asked them did they think he is more clumsy than usual. It's quite a tradition now that I have to complete accident forms. They agreed he is, and so I went to GP. She referred him to Paeds and now we have just received a letter with her findings.

My issue is that the letter is contradictory IMO, in no specific order I've sumarised...

"for building a tower of more than 6 bricks he is more clumsy than expected."
"There was some degree of clumsiness, especially when walking around though I felt this was not of concern at his age."
"he is able to put pegs in a board although slowly."
"He walks with his toes pointed out slightly."
"I agree there is some degree of generalised clumsiness in his movements."

The Paediatrician will review him in 6 months. She has also referred him to Orthoptics, following my recent experiences with DS1.
He is under podiatry already and has insoles, further review in 2 months.

Obviously I'm confused by the statemtent that she isn't concerned at his age, but also goes on to say the other quotes above.

Probably just having a whinge really, but any thoughts appreciated.

I'd read that as, mostly he's about right for his age - but maybe a potential issue with fine motor control

oops forgot to say he's aged 2.10. does seems to have a clumsy walk moreso than peers

I read it to say probably no concern but worth investigating.
