diagnosed aspergers last july. was told at the time that cahms only deal with badly affected children and she's not that bad.

so since then she's had no help or input from anyone.

she is mostly fine but then has a huge blow up and breaks things (like my wrist).

she loathes and dispises school and the constant ' i feel sick' is driving me absolutely bonkers. she doesn't feel sick she feels anxious (which makes her feel sick) BUT THIS IS ABOUT 50 TIMES A DAY, EVER SINGLE DAY, ALL THE TIME. sorry caps but apt.

so anyway. i think that maybe this is bad enough to ask for some sort of help. but where do i go? do i phone cahms first? the only other place they pointed me to was healthy minds. would that be more appropriate?

have you got a autistic group in your area? you could contact them and ask for advice about services in your area, my dd used to go to the autistic youth club and she enjoyed going, we stayed in the building and spoke to other parents and supported each other, the staff would also tell us about services that might be able to help.

Is she statemented? That may help the school problem, just getting some coping strategies put in place. Also, as has been suggested, local Asperger groups are a great help. We too went to a youth group for ages and it really helped, experts on hand and parents experiences too.
