Whist I realise that these are not enforcable they do relate to non-educational need. We have our AR on Friday, and our SSEN is written very badly!

These sections are blank, although my son needs help with self care, O.T., Physio and also with situations such as climbing stairs, school trips etc He is Home Educated at the moment due to the spectacular failings at his school. He is 7.
The SSEN needs to be kept up to date as he will at some point return to school, IF a suitable place can be found - although we are in no hurry as he is doing so much better being HE. The AR is overdue - it should have been carried out last April - the SEN Team were contacted by me several times, but have little interest as we HE, it would seem!
Can anyone let me know what, if anything they have in this section. I've been trying to get through to SEN SOS, but so far have had no luck.

Thank you x

we have that kind of stuff written into parts 2 and 3. Part 5 lists dd3's dxs, nothing else, part 6 says something along the lines of input from (various professionals/doctors/therapists) implemented and monitored by (whoever is appropriate). Hardly anything really.

Is that input at school, general, or all? He has comorbid condtions that should be documented, but the Statement is really badly done - I've got to go through it and try to make sence of what they have missed, or fudged.
I have print off's from SOS SEN, but it's going to be a nightmare I can see!
When the SSEN was first done I wrongly trusted that it would all be as it should be......... mmm won't be doing that again. It seems to be wording and how it's put that gives them scope for doing as they like.

she has input in school written into parts 2 and 3 from ot, physio, salt etc including formation of a care plan to be agreed by all involved which would cover self help, toileting etc when at school, there's also something about being risk aware when it comes to her learning environment so that covers safety in the playground, stairs etc. The main explanation of her dx and everything it involves is in part 2. Part 6 is just general as it includes her medical stuff which has no involvement with school directly at all. She moves to a ss in september so now gets almost all her therapy there.

have you seen the booklet that ace do here

I agree, it's all in the wording and how much wriggle room the lea can get!
