Anyone else's DC refuse to wear socks with a resulting stinking pair of shoes?

DS1 has refused to wear socks for about 5 months now. he has some blisters on his toes over the last few days which I thought would sway him but no, today he chose to wear his trainers for the first time in about 6 weeks - no socks. He usually wears school shoes every day. He even wore his school t-shirt today!!!
He doesn't wear underpants either, but that's only a problem when getting changed for PE. The sock thing has become a real issue because his shoes and feet absolutely stink. I've been googling tonight for solutions and looks like I'll need to invest in 2 pairs of school shoes to allow time for the other to dry before he wears them again. I've used Scholl deo trainer spray, but it only masks it really.
obviously i have to wash his feet the minute he comes from school but then if we just want to go to the shop he wants to put his shoes back on.

My DS is like this but he's only 2. Really stinky pair of slippers at the moment! Hope others have some suggestions.

DS is 6 and cannot stand socks either. Stole his sisters craft scissors and cut the toes off all his socks when I thought he was sleeping one night. It was the feel of the seams. I have seamless ones that aggrivate less although he still moans that his feet slide in the shoes.

Good days he will go school with them on. Bad days we dont bother. But I do have odour eaters which I bought from boots. They are adult size but I cut them down to fit his trainers (he will wear trainers but not shoes) I keep 4 pairs, they are washable in the washing machine and dry very quick so I rotate them if that helps :)

As for pants, we went through loads of different pairs till I found some short style ones in M&S and they were not too expensive. You dont actually feel the elastic at the top of them and there are none on the legs as they are short style but cling. DS doesnt realise he has them on.

my son refuses to wear socks or underpants too, i didn't link it to his disability even though my other kids wear them with no problems. he's 11.

i managed to find non stinky shoes for him (asda own brand school shoes) but their trainers reek!

Thanks I will give the Odour eaters a try initially and then ASDA for school shoes next time :-) I get my seamless socks from sockshop.co.uk but they're not the greatest as they do slip down (cos they have no seams - DOH!!!), so if you know of any better ones?
It is the seams he hates, he's on a 52 week waiting list for OT! only 10 months to go though School are trying to find a short cut as they do have an OT working with another child at the moment.
All clothes are affected, only wears jogging bottoms and school trousers. only wears certain t-shirts nothing with writing or pictures, has a beautiful coat worn twice - claims he cannot move in it. Is it normal for a 5 year old to wear his school t-shirt on a Saturday (just yesterday)? he doesn't care, he likes it.
All I can say is I cannot wait for DS2 to get all these barely worn hand me downs!

Yes DS would live in his school shirt and I have right trouble making him part with it. Also going through a phase of cold clothes Confused I have to warm everything up in the tumble dryer for him to put a clean top on once he has taken one off!

DS actually likes the odour eaters as they are spongy and he used to complain that his shoes were hard. Have you tried trainer socks, I am thinking of it as they have no seams in the toes and dont go all the way up the leg.
