This morning when dressing DS i noticed 2 large bruises on him,i know this has not happened at home as he always over reacts at falls, knocks ect and asks me to kiss injury better.
The only thing i can think off is school but nothing about restaining, falling or being injured by another child has been written in his home school book and so now im thinking alsorts and getting myself into a state.
He has no ability to tell me how hes got these bruises and im now thinking what the hell do i do,who do i tell and i need advice if you can help

Where are the bruises? would they equal something that someone should get if they were restrained? Although I Know others have posted here saying if restraint was needed and done correctly there wouldnt be bruising.

Take a couple of photos for your own record and stick them in a book with the date and time you spotted them. If you got a digital camera you can use a machine in boots to take the odd photo singly.

Did you ask DS where they happend? I know you say he has no ability but he does ask you to kiss it better when he is hurt. Try asking him if anyone kissed it better for him? then where. Maybe he may be able to say (only thinking of tactic for response :) )

How old is he? depending on his age it could have been just rough and tumble in playtime? I would still mention it to school and show them the photos though to see what answer they give.

They are just below his buttocks ,1 on each side. The bruises look the same as each other and are about 4 inches wide each side.He is only 7 so they pretty much take up the whole of the back of his upper leg.(width wise)
Ive taken some photos and im going to ask for his teacher to contact me on monday.
If they had happened out of school he would have been comfortable enough to try and tell me " i falled" or "oh no mend my bum" but if i ask him anything about school ever he just echos me.
I really hope they are rough and tumble war wounds Smile but it would be very out of charachter for him because hes more of an observer and just likes to stim about the playground ignoring the other kids at all costs.
I really do think there may be an easy explanation for them but you know what its like when you worry and monday seems such along time away.

oh yes I worry a lot :)

have they got rope swings or climbing stuff with ropes. I know DS gets a few pressure bruises from using this stuff in the park. Or swinging on our wooden dining chair! I bet there will be a perfectly normal explanation and I cant see how those bruises would have resulted from restraint :)

Thanks for calming me down today coffee Smile. They do have slides and things and i hope hes had a go and got bruised like all boys do,but i really think they would have said he did something he doesnt usually do.
To sum my son up he doesnt really do anything at school or for anyone other than family,he just stands there or sits and verbally protests that he wants to go home.He will raise his hands as though hes going to hit staff and rip up work ect but he really doesnt use up much energy so its a bit of a mystery.
Grin ive just told him he cant have another biscuit and so hes shouting at me he wants MRS xxxxxxx (his teacher) so they cant be that bad with him.
