What can I do if I'm unhappy with the salt report for the statutory assessment application?

It's just plain inaccurate in places. I said this to her today but she only said "oh once he's been accepted for statutory assessment I'll be more detailed, I can put it in then" but what if her caving out facts means we never even get to that stage? Can I make her rewrite it?

Not sure if you can make her rewrite per se, but I would write in with all your corrections so there is a written record iyswim that you don't agree with all the contents.

we've asked for & had reports ammended. We're usually sent a copy of the proposed report to approve before they write the final version & it goes on file.

Unfortunately the salt has already sent out the report to everybody and their dog. I am just so annoyed because she stated things as fact in there without knowing if they were true. For example she said "he can tell short story" but he can't!

emkana, I would write a letter setting out all your concerns, and especially putting your side of things like 'he can tell a short story', and copy it to everyone that the salt sent her report to, and especially to the LA.

write that you raised your concenrs with the salt, but that she did not want to amend her report.

it does end up a bit 'he said, she said', but at least you have a paper trail showing that you are aware of your ds' difficulties, and that you disagree with the assessment.

Thank you, I'll do that
