1st post in this section, name change regular elsewhere.

My dd1 who is 4, was born with a number of congenital physical abnormalities ( mosaic ) and as she has got older behavioural differences are coming to light.
During frustration tantrums, I call them frustration as she isn't essentially a naughty child who tantrums when she doesn't get her way generally, you know, like not getting a choccie, she will count, repeat nursery rhymes, hit herself, hair pull, sing, count with her fingers, all very ' vigorously ', she also ( rarely ) grunts.
She will also repeat questions over and over, and OVER again.
Sound familiar to anyone ?
She is a very bright and friendly girl with no physical sensory issues regarding touch or eye contact.

Are these tantrums ' normal ' ?

Going to pick her up now but will check back later, thanks in advance for any help or advice.

It's obviously hard for us to say, as we don't know her. I would say, though, that if you are concerned, then see if you can't get a referral to a paediatrician and see if they cannot check into it a bit further.

Thanks for the replies, she was from birth involved with cd, salt, paeds etc but has been discharged from most, looks like we may have to go back.
She doesn't tantrum in school, but they have flagged other things, and are looking to get her extra help.
