is this common? ds attends speech therapy they have now apparantly taken him from the speech therapy clinic list because he is attending a rhythm and sound group which comes to an end in december, he will not be refered now till he is 4 and half.... ds can put 4 words together just, only i can understand him and i find it hard he is 3 in 4 weeks.

the lady who was suppose to be helping with ds's behaviour chucks handouts to me in her spare 10mins, it's suppose to be a behaviour program but i can't do it with no support whatsoever i feel lost with it i'm trying my best but ds is hitting me all the time, he is potty trained but will have days of just peeing or he will tip pee from his potty, he is climbing constantly jumping on me telling him doesnt work, he smiles when he is told off.

i've begged for help with his sleep from him being born and got nothing, he can wake up upto 3 times an hour through the night an average night at the minute is around3/4 times a night.

the community paed put him 9months behind, i would say he is following that trend, but there is the odd thing he is very very good at knows all his colours whether they are dark or light or bright... his first words where colours, he sat at 16months and completed a little peg board jigsaw on his own yet couldn't wave, or nod/shake head. he still can't nod his head now he ses this paed in january. then theres all the medical stuff thats going on which is far too long to mntion here.

he has CAF but it seems pretty pointless if no one is going to be there becausesorry for the ramble i'm just really really stressed this week and i feel lonely dealing with him on my own xx

sorry you are having such an awful time. I have always found professionals pretty rubbish in practical terms and eventually gave up on their input at home. The best thing I ever got for my ds was melatonin liquid kid naps for his sleep. I don't know if you have considered this but if you get a proper break and the chance to sleep at night you might find it easier to cope with the daytime. There are lots of threads on here about melatonin if you are interested. It will be a struggle to get from social care but you could also do with a carer to provide you with some respite by taking your ds out for a few hours. I managed to get a one off payment from my council and used it to pay for a crossroads carer to take dd swimming on the weekend - bliss.
